PLEASE BRING A BEACH TOWEL TO SIT ON WHEN WE DO CLASS OUTSIDE UNDER THE TENT. This will be kept in the student's backpack. 

Virtual Meeting on Friday September 18

We will be meeting at 10:30-10:53 through Google Meet. This meeting link is below and also on the home page of our classroom Google Classroom. Students can log in to Google and go to Google classroom by using the waffle on the top right corner.  Student’s email is their computer login number @stjoebears.com and their password is in the inside of their orange go home folder.

Our First Week


We have had a great first day of school getting to know each other.  We have shared information about ourselves and what we like about being in school. We also talked about our first maker project for next week. We will be using a Glowforge to create wooden name tags. For this project students have been practicing writing their name in cursive. It would be great if students could practice a few times at home. 


Back To School Night

Be on the lookout for a video link for our back to school night information. The students are going to help me create this video next week so it should be fun to watch.

Students are all at different levels of completion Multiplication Practice- Please make sure your student is practicing their multiplication facts at least a few times a week. They can do this with flashcards (they could even create their own on index cards!) or they could work on IXL: G for 10 mins 4 times a week. If you need index cards or supplies for flashcards, let me know and I can send them home.   Classroom Blog March 24, 2021 .  Reminder:  Please take your child’s temperature in the morning for health screening.      Meeting Sign UP If at any time you would like to meet please send me an email and I would be happy to meet with you at 8:30am.  Poetry We will be focusing on poetry next week. Students will need to pick a poem to present. They can either do a recording and put it in Google Drive or do it Friday at school.  I am encouraging students to do a two page recording of their reading on the My Guided Readers website. The link is in Google Classroom. February 11,2021

  Classroom Blog February 11, 2021 Please Work On At Home : 1) Students are starting their biography projects. They have to read and take notes in their writing notebooks.   2) We are starting Perimeter and Area. Lots of practice will be needed to secure these skills. Please work on IXL DD 3) Please encourage your child to challenge themselves in their book choices. This might mean choosing a longer book or a book with higher vocabulary.  4) Take some time to encourage neat handwriting. Reminder:  Please take your child’s temperature in the morning for health screening. Exciting Activities in Class: We made mini pinball machines (Tinker Crate) today to start our force and motion unit in science. Next week we will be starting a class project, building a Gravitrex Set.
