Supplies Needed
We are in need of antibacterial wipes! We use our Clorox wipes daily to wipe all surfaces. If you are able to send some on, we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much!
Prudence
You plan for the future and achieve your goals by making careful everyday choices.
The week of the 11th we will be starting a new word in the Positivity Project. We will be learning all about prudence.
Reading
This week we will be working on making inferences. We are using this strategy in every content area.
I am encouraging students to do a two page recording of their reading on the My Guided Readers website. The link is in Google Classroom.
Writing
Students have been working on taking notes and forming an opinion from the book Should There Be Zoos. The book is a collection of essays written by fourth graders. After reading and taking notes they will be writing their own essays.
Math
Multiplication Practice- Please make sure your student is practicing their multiplication facts at least a few times a week. They can do this with flashcards (they could even create their own on index cards!) or they could work on IXL: G for 10 mins 4 times a week. If you need index cards or supplies for flashcards, let me know and I can send them home. The kids have been working on the following facts on this sheet in class (let me know if you'd like a copy sent home!):
We are working on the unit Measurement and Data. We will start this unit by focusing on measuring and estimating liquid volumes and masses. The kids will work hands-on with materials to study this unit.

Science
We are working on the unit Animals Through Time. In this unit students will develop an appreciation for how animals and their habitats are not constant - they change over time. Fossils give us a window to the animals and habitats of the past. Selective breeding shows us not only how some animals of the past became domesticated, but allows us to imagine how they might look in the future.
