Word Study:  our focus this week is on common misspelled words ( There was no sheet sent home. The words are on Spelling City)


Writing

This week we are focusing on writing our own version of a fairytale. These will be due Thursday.

Multiplication Practice- Please make sure your student is practicing their multiplication facts at least a few times a week. 


Math: We are finishing our work on geometry and moving back to more in depth multiplication and division work.


Social Studies We are starting to learn about the iron mines that were so important to the growth of Michigan.


Reminder:  Please take your child’s temperature in the morning for health screening.

They can do this with flashcards (they could even create their own on index cards!) or they could work on IXL: G for 10 mins 4 times a week. If you need index cards or supplies for flashcards, let me know and I can send them home.   Classroom Blog March 24, 2021 .  Reminder:  Please take your child’s temperature in the morning for health screening.      Meeting Sign UP If at any time you would like to meet please send me an email and I would be happy to meet with you at 8:30am.  Poetry We will be focusing on poetry next week. Students will need to pick a poem to present. They can either do a recording and put it in Google Drive or do it Friday at school.  I am encouraging students to do a two page recording of their reading on the My Guided Readers website. The link is in Google Classroom.   Classroom Blog October 30, 2020 Reminder:  Please take your child’s temperature in the morning for health screening. Meeting Sign UP If at any time you would like to meet please send me an email and I would be happy to meet with you at 8:30 am. I will send out a link as needed. Homework  read for 20 minutes each night. Half of the reading time should be out loud.  A homework slip will go home Monday . Social Studies We are reading Trader’s In Time and learning about the different groups of Native Americans that lived in our part of Michigan.  Reading Readers Theater group 1 Readers Theater group 2 Readers Theater group 3 Readers Theatre group 4 Readers Theater Group 5   I am encouraging students to do a two page recording of their reading on the My Guided Readers website.
